Poland-Donated AstraZeneca Vaccines To Arrive in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH: Around 300,000 doses of Covid-19 AstraZeneca vaccines are set to arrive in Cambodia from Poland on Tuesday evening. Prime Minister Hun Sen will be at Phnom Penh International Airport to welcome the latest donation of vaccines.

With the addition of the 300,000 Covid-19 vaccines from Poland, Cambodia will have collected more than 43.7 million doses of vaccines through both purchases and donations. This includes 29,424,800 doses of Sinovac, 7,800,000 doses of Sinopharm, 2,961,400 doses of AstraZeneca, 2,350,530 doses of Pfizer, 1,064,600 doses of Johnson & Johnson, and 188,160 doses of Moderna.

More than 3 million doses of the vaccine supply in Cambodia was received from donations through the COVAX Facility.

Close to 90% (89.62%) of Cambodia’s 16 million population has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, and more than 3 million eligible people have thus far received their booster doses. The fourth dose booster campaign recently began on 14 January, and will continue into February.

In addition to receiving vaccine donations, Cambodia has also donated Covid-19 vaccines to countries such as Laos and Vietnam.
